Shekinah Haitian Seventh-day Adventist Church
ABOUT US

A Haitian family of faith.

Shekinah means the glory and presence of God dwelling with His people. Every Sabbath we gather in Alvarado, Texas to worship in Kreyòl, French, and English, and we carry that presence home to our families and neighbors across Johnson County and the Dallas Fort Worth area.

Our Story

Shekinah began with a few Haitian families who loved God and prayed together in a living room. With faith and a lot of love, that small circle grew into a vibrant congregation of all ages. Today we are a Haitian Adventist church family rooted in Scripture and wrapped in the warmth of our Haitian heritage.

As part of the worldwide Adventist family, we rest and worship on the Sabbath, the seventh day, just as Jesus did. We live with joyful hope in His soon return, and we care for the whole person: body, mind, and spirit.
